Re: 50D looks great!
I've only used the V3 200T so far and it was still finer grain than 100D, not to mention a whole lot sharper. If you want grain there's still 500T and TriX. 3 awsome negs in Super 8 is pretty cool, now all we need is Roger and his people to get that new scanner doing neg stocks and order will be re...

Re: 50D looks great!
I would put it down to software Sorcery ? and the Evil of kodak for taking away plus x / 100 d , Then we now have to pay out more for Dev , and post , what is all this costing the little people in a cold digtial world , which kills what super film making is about , mind you super 8 is now 48 years o...

Re: 50D looks great!
Well, since the online sample has been replaced with a masked version that covers the sprocket hole area, I guess we'll have to accept that explanation! :) I understand what you are saying but it does seem odd. The total lack of grain and increased detail is what really makes these clips stand out....

Re: 50D looks great!
I think it is a fake. It seems to me that this is a video that was embedded in a framework of Super8 to give an aspect of Super8. However, I wish it to be truly the Super8 and that we can actually get such images with Kodak 50D. I hope I'm wrong. Some how i think you are right , Joelpierre It's loo...

Re: Where's the best place for B&W negative processing?
Ah yes, should have said. I am in the UK. As far as I can tell there is no one here that can process b/w neg. I have thought about doing it myself if there are no labs, but hopefully there are some around Europe that can process b/w neg. Hello mortron , I do not know, who will just do B/W Negs only...

Re: life of dichromate bleach
[quote="Angus"]I would take the colour not having changed as a positive sign. Last time I made my own I used it around three years after I made up the solution and it was OK for reversal film bleaching. It had been stored in a chemical resistant plastic bottle on a shelf in my bedroom :)[/...

Re: Kodak stops production of Ektachrome 100D
No more Super 8 color reversal film made by Kodak. Vision3 50D color negative film will come in Super 8. More info on http://www.schmalfilm.de - in German language... Ektachrome 100D will be canceled in any format: S8, 16 mm, 35 mm. This is disappointing especially as I am gearing up for another fe...

Re: Retro-8 introductory price extended
Wow. We posted the Retro-8 scanner a little over two weeks ago and I figured I might get, maybe, 3-5 orders since we had not yet advertised it. As of the end of January, we have received over 40 orders! With this kind of response, I have decided to extend the introductory price for another 30 days....

Re: super 8 workshops in the UK
I'm going to miss out on the that super 8/processing workshop of CherryKino's. Dang it! One day I'll get to a workshop for self processing unless of course any other people here know of other UK colour processing courses? you really do not need do a work shop to learn how to processing colour film ...
