Slightly off the original topic but I can honestly say that Kevin's Super 8 100D and Tri-X processing is superb.
It's easily as good as the large labs I've used, costs a bit less and is much quicker.
I will probably use other labs from time to time just to spread things round a bit but if you're ...

Re: At a bit of a loss
Hi
If you're in the UK you should definitely check out Gauge Film on ebay. He sells both Kodak reversal stocks and processes them too with a super fast turn around time.
I've used his services several times with superb results.
Blue Cine Tech are good too but their service takes longer as i ...

Re: Great Ektachrome Super 8 Video
Wow that's great - inspiring stuff.
The evening shots are nice and have got we wanting to try something similar as i've only ever used 100D in quite strong daylight.
Any ideas what camera was used and how many carts they actually shot?

Re: Tri-X and Plus-X service at Gauge Film in May
Hi Kev
I'll be glad to give it a go!
I've shot quite a bit of Tri-X over the last year or so and i'm fairly accustomed to how it looks. I wish Plus-X was still available though....oh well.
Just picked up a mint condition Canon Autozoom 1014 Electronic so I'll give that a whirl with Tri-X.
Will ...

Re: Gauge Film Processing Service
Hi Kevin
I would love it if you could do Tri-X as well. I've used your colour service and it was excellent. Having the same quick service for B&W would be terrific.
I must admit i have a couple of carts of Tri-X in the cupboard and I have been waiting until you started your B&W processing before ...

I'm going out to shoot more rolls and I can't wait until you start doing tri-x.

Re: Process Paid 100D Film Stock
Hey Kevin
Just wanted to say thanks for the processing job you did on my 100d. It looks great!
The best thing is that I only sent it to you on Tues/Weds so i couldn't believe it when I found it sitting on my doormat this morning (Sat). :D

Film Expiry Dates
I may be being a bit thick but i can't work out what the markings on the side of Kodak 100d packets really mean.
I realise that one number is the film type but do the others refer to the film's expiry date and if so how do you decipher them?
I'm sure it's actually really obvious! :?

Re: Process Paid 100D Film Stock
Hi Kevin
Funnily enough this happened to a roll i have just sent you for processing.
I was using my Canon 514xl and it just stopped. Took the film out and put it in my 814xle and it worked fine. Could be that the act of removing it unjammed it as the 514 seemed to work fine again afterwards ...
