Name of repair guy in New England?

Offhand, does anybody remember the name of the repair guy who is located in, I believe, New England?

I remember reading about him here sometime or other, and I can't recall his name or website. Apparently, he does alot of referral work from other dealers and is supposed to be great. I get the impression he's semi-retired now and has lots of experience with higher end cameras.

Bernie fixed some issues with my K3 that Du-All in NY missed, namely getting the lens collimated correctly. Also had him do his "laserbrighten" thing on it and the viewfinder is twice as bright now.

Bernie is a good guy, straight shooter and has fair prices. You can tell he loves what he does.

That's the guy! Thanks.

I've heard very good things about him, and Du-All as well-- between the two of them the Super 8 gamut is covered, I suspect.

I guess I could ask him myself, but will he touch Nizos or the lesser Canons?

In the latest issue of SUPER 8 TODAY Michael Ryan has contributed a nice in-depth article about Bernie O'Doherty and his company SUPER 16, INC. Bernie can pretty much repair any Super-8 camera unless it needs a microchip replacement that he doesn't have.

I suppose this a US-ism. I.e. think things in USA are always bigger and better then elsewhere. Considering their imago problem, service level and pricing (not to start discussion on this eternal topic

) my estimate is 98% of S8 film is processed somewhere else in USA or the world. Dwayne's is likely to be bigger even on the remaining Kodachrome alone. As much (if not all) of S8 EU film goes to Andec this may very welll be the biggest of them all.

Oh, try living in Texas where EVERYTHING is bigger.
