This just never sells. He just keeps re-listing it with a slightly lower starting price.

cause otherwise the camera wouldn't fit? ;-)

seriously, it looks to me like a snug fit? do you mean bulky? well, a square box is cheaper to build than one that's shaped like a camera i guess. so, conclusion: a fairly nice blimp at a ridiculously high price. the lens collar is the only semi advanced feature. the rest is just a box.

I guess that it looks larger than it probably is.

I don't have time to read the description, but what's so stupid about a submarine that you can ride in with your super 8 camera?
100D and Vision 3 please

in the main picture it looks ridiculous, but once you see it with the camera in the following shots you get a sense of scale and it looks ok. makes me wanna build one for my canon. i'd never buy one at this price mind you.

Ah, I see now. It looks easy to build. I wonder how well plywood would work..

Doesn't anyone beside Mogzy and me find it odd that Officeshelf seems to think S8 projectors run on carts? :P

why would he suggest you "pull the film out of the cartridge" if he thought that?

I have a Super8Sound blimp, looks like one went on Ebay not too long ago for around US$650 with plenty of bidders, this guy is just asking too much. The blimp isn't large at all, it's just slightly larger than the camera.

This does make a small amount of sense, if the seller knows or suspects that the film has not been stored well and would give poor photographic results.
