Canon 1014xl-s/Beaulieu 4008zm2 or just a 6008s

I own both 1014xl-s and the 4008zm2, and I do love them both in there ways. But I am wondering if I can get the best of both cameras out of a 6008s with the Ang. 6-80/6-90 or Schneider 6-70. With the Canon I love the ease of use (i.e. AA Batteries, reliability) as well as the time lapse feature, but...

Hey, I have one of those too! I just reread my original post and it was more like within the last 4 years instead of 2. I purchased both cameras pretty close to each other as well. The first one was just the camera and case nothing else. The second was totally complete, down to the silica packets an...

Well, there had to be more than one on eBay within the last 2 years because I have bought 2 within that time! And for good prices too! But I do have to agree with you Jim Carlile, these little cameras have features only found on nice 16mm cameras. I would say if you shot double 8mm you should really...

Yeah I have got the super 8 version and have been dying to get the single 8 one. I think the Canon packs alot of features and plus I could use the tele and wide angle lenses I have with it. Oh well, keep searching!

mattias: it actually thinks it's 100 asa daylight, since the cart doesn't have the filter notch. add one yourself and it will be rated correctly.

Should the internal 85 filter be used when exposing this film stock outdoors?

I was wondering how to get the battery out of the light meter.
Also, if anyone could tell me a good replacement battery.

Thanks in advance!

Camera shops in NYC or Boston Areas

I am going to the Mainland next week and I was wondering if you guys could tell me some good shops to visit in the New York or Boston areas. Also I want to get my Beaulieu 4008 serviced, any shops that could do that for me. I was thinking I could drop it off and then have them send it back to me. Th...

New surf film shot with Super 8

The film is called"Surf Movie: reels 1-14". It was shot entirly with super 8. It is presented as it was shot with no editing, just the reels spliced together. Micheal Halsband is the guy who made it. One intersting note is that the sound track was made while the band watched the film. Basicly it got...
