Re: K3 16mm scan — Lines not scratches?

Hi Markus,
I'm prette sure that is a scratch coming from the camera gate.

I suggest you do a thorough cleaning of the gate. I see there's lots of dust there too.

It's a nice camera. I have one too which I used quite a bit some years ago.

Enjoy,
Andreas

Agree. Being open about it is better.

I heard the release was closer to summer now. They had problems with image stability..

Re: Samples from In My Image 4k scan - down to HD

I vote for 16x9. ;) You would crop the current image quite a bit, but if you do a detailed job you can really get some nice framing that fits modern screens really well - more work though.

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

Hi Dave and thanks for joining!

I think your timing is perfect. Labs across Europe report the death of E6 filmprocessing and hopefully Film Ferrania can do something with that.

Question everybody is having: When will we see the first batch of Super8 or 16mm films?

Cheers,
Andreas

Just a small correction: You mean the Lasergraphics Scanstation I believe?

Re: Wolverine 8mm and Super 8 Movie Reels to Digital MovieMa

BTW curious how filmers spend some Euro 10 on a minute of filming super-8 but want the equipment for doing that at fleamarket prices. I.e a camera at Euro 50 is ough! A projector at Euro 35 even more ough! It makes one wonder how Kodak is going to sell these Euro 1000 cameras :) I hope Kodak will h...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview

As a small format services business owner, the news about Kodak opening labs and scanning facilities scares me, atleast if they do so in Europe. I think we, the small film businesses has played a fair part in keeping the Super 8 scene alive and now we are about to be run over by the big K. In the lo...

Re: Sample images from the new Müller HDS scanner

Andreas, I know it might be a huge request, but i'd be fascinated to see a examples of the same films digitized in different scanners, and I'm sure others would be too. Since few people have simultaneous access to multiple makes and models of equipment it is very hard to find good apples-to-apples ...

Hi Frank!
Yes, this is the IMX174, but I also got the ICX834 which I haven't tested yet.

Sample images from the new Filmfabriek HDS scanner

Hi guys,
I thought I'd share 3 sample images from some tests I've done today with the new Müller HDS scanner. Super8 frames with some quick grading done in DaVinci. Looks quite alright, doesn't it?
