Re: New Nikon R10 owner with some questions..

Hi all, im new to this forum. I recently acquired an R10 in pretty decent condition. The previous owner did not know anything besides "it used to work and now it doesnt". So i decided to take a chance anyhow. The film motor does not seem to work. I have put fresh alkaline batteries and am able to g...

Re: Super 8 on Globe Trekker?

The silver boxy camera used on Globe Trekker is a BRAUN NIZO 801 MACRO Super 8. About $250 on ebay as of early 2018. Very cool looking camera but, really, why waste money on old technology when new technology can duplicate the retro super 8 film look! Why join a Small gauge film forum if you can do...

Re: Nikon R10 power zoom non-functional

Are you referring to the "Power Zoom Speed Control"? Yes, I checked that. And yes, fresh batteries (I resurrected my R8 from a horribly corroded battery holder...) As I said, the film transport motor works fine, which indicates the camera is getting power. The R10 uses the battery pack for both met...

Re: Nikon R10 power zoom non-functional

Hi All, I scored a Nikon R10 this past week. Its meter, film drive mechanism, and battery check appear to work well, but the power zoom is not functioning (in either T or W direction). I also have a Nikon R8 Super, and I'm assuming would work the same as on the R8, but it does not. Does anyone have...

Re: Leicina Special Repair

I was wondering if there’s any updates to the repair of your Leicina. I have one that was working yesterday afternoon but after loading it into my car for a couple hours in cold weather, it just stopped working. Was wondering if the cold weather froze up something in the motor? Or maybe got bumped ...

Re: kodak

judging from the comment in the annual report about releasing the kodak name and symbol to the company making the S8 camera, Kodak is not making the camera. They have farmed that out. Actually while the camera is nice addition, there are many S8 cameras waiting for a good color reversal. The entire...

Re: kodak

don't really want to say this, but I don't think there will be a new Super8 camera nor Ektachrome coming from Kodak. I think they missed their window. It is really sad and I really would have hoped they could have gotten this out a year ago when the anticipations and hype was still there. Hype seems...

Re: kodak

Kodak stock has been dropping almost daily since they announced the first profitable quarter. Although making a profit, sales have been dropping that is why the stock is falling off the cliff. The stock has gone from over $30 to under $7. The market does not have faith that Kodak will be a viable c...

Re: Motor belt for Elmo 912/S Super-8 editor

:D :D I'm looking for a replacement belt for an Elmo 912/S Super-8 sound editor. The belt goes from the motor shaft to a larger pulley attached to ( I think) the flywheel. http://www.filmkorn.org/super8data/database/viewers_list/viewers_image/elmo_912s.jpg I've heard that the Elmo 912/S was made by ...
