Re: Reminder: Dec 30 Last Day for Kodachrome process

Mine came back unprocessed, 7 weeks after I'd sent them out. 5 silent and 1 sound. So disappointed.

Re: New Filmmaking Website!!!

Thanks Giles, hopefully this collaborative site I'm making will help send a load of traffic to onsuper8 as well. I think there's a lot of potential for us to work together and do some cool joint projects if you're up for that.

edit: just saw your blog post, double thanks!

Thanks guys. Haven't been able to add anything recently due to health issues but I should be bouncing back later this month and be able to add a load of new stuff.

New Filmmaking Website!!!

 http://www.analogmovies.com After we discussed it a bit in that other thread, I've gone ahead and purchased a domain + hosting, and set up a community website. Anyone here is welcome (and encouraged) to sign up to the website, at the bottom on the right hand side is a 'Meta' box where you ...

Re: Necessary settings for Ektachrome 100D in camera ...

814XL-S worked fine for me, although in a bright new york day it was really difficult avoiding diffraction - I agree that an ND filter is a must have item now for Super 8 users.

Re: Small Movies website

It'd differ by being a bit more like a wiki if anything than a top-down owners vs visitors site - I'd pay for the costs, and perform an admin function but ownership would effectively lie in the hands of enthusiasts. I wouldn't use wikipedia like software to do it though, it'd have more of a magazine...

Re: Small Movies website

I'm thinking about making a sort of open 8mm site this summer where anyone can become an author and contribute articles. Would that interest anyone?

Re: Is it dead here or just me??

It doesn't seem like the board has had that much life in it the last couple months. I guess the main "problem" is the fact that there aren't any new or discontinued products ... . So the only (boring) topics would be the latest home movies or the last eBay-shopping-results... . Jörg Thats one of...

Re: Why many 8mm films buffs skip this Ebay?

Sometimes you just get lucky when other people aren't browsing ebay as much, its a hard to predict market. It helps though to advertise out of ebay, for example I've got a load of sound ektachrome carts on and an agfa moviechrome cart, so I made a post in this forums ebay section to help it get a bi...

Re: Wikipedia pages on my films

Having an imdb page might not be a bad idea, which you can link to from the wiki page. I guess that might give it more legitimacy? The pages look good though, well formatted and lots of actually useful content about the films.

Re: Refillable Russian cassettes

When I send my 100D to meterware to Dwayne's, I just load it back into that plastic bag it comes in (in total darkness of course), seal it up, and send them that with a bit of protection around it. They charged me the same price for that as a cartridge of 64T, and it also was done in a 1 day turnaro...
