Re: Customer review: Universal 2K

For 8mm and 16mm films, is the 2K upgrade really worth it? They are kinna low quality films. 2K is more for 35mm films. Any video showing the vast improvements over the old camera?

Definitely not Kodachrome. Not up to Ektachrome 100D standard either. Maybe more like VNF 7240?
From youtube comments section by GQ; Kodak tells us it's a mixture of 500t and 200t with a bit of tri-x. All 8mm.

Re: Bell & Howell Audio Cable Format- Smaller than 1/4"?

It's a 3/16" phone plug. It's discussed in this thread. http://www.8mmforumworldwide.com/viewtopic.php?t=1570 The closest adapter I've found is this. https://heilsound.com/products/ad-1-c-right-angle-316-collins-plug/ I've purchased it but it's not working well. The base is too wide and the jack on ...

Source for 3/16 to 1/4 or 1/8 audio jack adapter?

Does anyone know a source for 3/16 to 1/4 or 1/8 audio jack adapter? I want to capture sound from a 16mm projector to a computer.

This is the only one I can find. https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/hls-ad-1-c

Re: How to get rid of static noise from Sankyo 500?

The static noise has reduced to an acceptable level now. Maybe it was the outlet that I plug into or the capacitors needs to be burned in since it's a new old stock.

Re: Where can I buy a universal rewinder in the USA?

If you're prepared to spend up to $150.00 for a set of rewinders, it's a bit surprising that you think the Brass adapters too costly. The plastic may be perfectly fine and, at the price, you could buy spares. If you're budget conscious, why not buy a cheaper set of rewinders and save even more? Sur...

Re: Where can I buy a universal rewinder in the USA?

One seller of a film winder says there is no tension adjustment so the handle will fall due to gravity as it turns. Wouldn't that be bad during rewinding as one side will be faster than the other? Wouldn't it stretch the film? I want a smooth rewinding.

Most of the rewinders on ebay looks rusty, they don't look tempting to buy but I'll keep searching for good condition ones.
