New Universal 2K software release at last!

Post by MovieStuff »

Call the neighbors and wake the kids. Just up on the website. New release on the Universal 2K software. Works with the original HD Universal camera as well. Lots of improvements and additions. All new instructions in printable PDF format, too.

Waw what a difference.

It looks and feels so much better. (Not that it was bad in the first place)

Only thing I have noticed so far that will take a bit of getting used to is rather than it remembering what the format was when the program was previously used is that it seems to revert back to Super8 each time.

Overall though I love it.

Great job Roger

Can it be installed over the older V3.2.3 software, or do I need to uninstall the older version first?

Does the BIN key I purchased for 3.2.3 key work on the new version?

I like the new look. The initial color settings for negative film is much better, easier to adjust for a cleaner starting point when it comes to color grading. I like the still focus feature too. I tired the .Avi but my version of Davinci doesn't like them. Processing is fast, although my file sizes for compressed and uncompressed are the same, about 27GB per 50ft S8. I thought I had the settings locked in on each?

Just uploaded an update for the new 2K Universal software. Noticed as couple of important bugs that needed to be addressed so we fixed 'em! Also new set of PDF instructions to go along with the fixes.

Works great, the compressed .avi are about 500MB, play perfectly and look awesome. .mov's and QuickTime have always been painful on my windows machine so the compressed .avi are just perfect for raw screening.
