Help with Sankyo Dualux 1000H

Post by SVercoe »

Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum and don't have any knowledge of using 8mm film. Anyway, I recently inherited a Sankyo Dualux 1000H from my Dad, who sadly passed away, and I am keen to restore it to working condition so I can watch the reels of film he left me. Mostly it is in excellent condition. I had to replace a drive belt, which I found easy enough to do. However there are a couple of other problems that I need help with. Firstly, the bulb is working ok but there is only a thin horizontal line of light coming through the lens. Secondly, it is not working well in reverse mode, it's very slow and is making a noise which I am sure it shouldn't be. Can anyone help please?
