ALPHA LAB (mobile film lab)

Post by Daniel »

Hello,

Amazing news from the UK...
Link : http://www.alphagrip.co.uk/index.php/bl ... b-and-mb60

A DoP based in London was at Pinewood few days ago and reported
on a professional list : "Unprocessed neg goes in one end and digitised rushes come out the other. Can go anywhere and is staffed by ex Deluxe,/Rank/Technicolor guys. A lot of the gear they’ve bought from Technicolor and they can process quite a large volume of film in a day."

35mm supported, don't know if other gauges are/will be supported.
Apparently they would build a second mobile lab.

All the best,
Daniel

I bet it doesn't cost that much for a large production because of the quantity they are running. These days I'm sure a lab will do anything they can to get the business. I don't think you call them to sit outside your house and process your weekend family movies although that would be fun!

A little late in the game.. But I'm not complaining. It's pretty awesome!
