removing battery handle, 1014 electronic

Post by Mr Blackstock »

Hello.

I have searched the forums for info, and came across some posts by Jcook about removing the covers from a canon 1014 electronic, but no mention of the handle. Has anyone had experience in removing this? I have an old 814 that i am going to use as practice first, i just hoped someone might know the secret access to remove the *&%$ thing?!

cheers

If you can get as far as to remove both left and right covers, then it shouldn't be hard to figure out how to remove the handle as it is under the right cover.

Under the cover where the handle is attached to the camera body there is a coin sized metal disc. There are two very small screws on the top side of the disc. Loosen those screws and unscrew the disc by rotating it counter clockwise.
