Non Super 8 Kodachrome question

Post by oslobeach »

Hi

I'm going to buy some K-64 35mm to run through someone's Hasselblad X-Pan Panoramic camera. When I send these off to get processed will they come back uncut since the panoramic image the Hasselblad takes is larger that a 35mm slide?

I'm in the UK, and as far as I know K-64 here is still processed-paid right?

Cheers

It is still process paid, although from what I gather we have to send it to Switzerland, and then they send it to Dwayne's, who then process it. I've got a roll of K64 in my SLR right now actually, so I'm eager to see how long it actually takes to get processed.

I sent a roll of 35mm pre-paid via Switzerland to Dwayne's and the whole turnaround was less than 3 weeks - which seemed kinda great!

Thanks for the info guys

But does anyone know how these slides will be returned as they will be double the frame size of 35mm horizontally due to the panoramic frame size of the Hasselblad? Should i put a note in the envelope?

I would try writing to Dwaynes and asking them, they are a very helpful company.

Yes the K64 is still process-paid in the UK, and as mentioned you send it to Swizerland and they send it on to Dwaynes.
