Seems kinda odd...The Thursday nights were strange enough on NFL Network. Now making branding deals with contractors.

Curiously, photographer Gavin Smith said in August 2006 that an NFL official ordered him to cover up a Canon logo on a monopod.
Haha!

In a word, obviously. However, in the world of NFL hype, nothing surprises me. It would surprise me if the photographers grew some balls and said no way...

reasons like this are why Canon makes WHITE lenses and not black ones with an itty bitty gold trim. Whenver I see white, I KNOW they are canon cameras.

Yeah...You're right.

It's like the local pimp that drives the lime green Cadi DTS. You can't help but notice him.

Maybe Nikon should try rasberry blue.

Makes me wonder if there is something that can't be noticed and/or read so easily by people, but would show up plain as day to a video camera. Great way to mark your equipment, and have it show in the final game video. Of course, they'd probably spend money just to edit it back out again. Humorous thought for the day.

It sounds like the NFL is going beyond just the cameras.

So we will not be able to use the word "NFL" with the "ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" wording immediately following within 10 words or less of the initial and all subsequent uses of the word "NFL" - all rights reserved of course...and in arial or times new roman...pitch 10 or bigger...

Between this and the ESPN "ALL BECKHAM ALL THE TIME" Network, what the hell. Time to run off the boob tube.

Good NPR story - I listened in my car and felt road rage...
