THE MANUAL SECTIONS IS NOT AVAILEBLE!
old text:
:!: Please only post site related posts concerning manuals under this thread. Posts like you've uploaded a new manual or broken links and so on are welcome here. Even a request for a new manual fits in here!
Got a manual that's not on this site?
There are always people from somewhere on this globe who's looking for the exact same manual. How about sharing it with the rest of the 8mm community so we all can read the original papers about our beloved gear?
What do I do then?
First you need to get the manual scanned. Scan each page with good resolution into standard image filetypes or other widely used formats. I suggest you stick to JPEG files or PDF files. Now, you probably got a whole bunch of .jpg's, then what do you do? Well, we need to add all of these files to one file called an archive file. To do this you need to pack all files into on WinZip (or similare) .zip file which is standard filetype on this website. You can obtain WinZip from http://www.winzip.com. Mark all files, right click on them and choose add to archive. Now you should have an archive which is the .zip file you want to send over to Shooting 8mm. Before you do so, please rename the file:
Syntax for manuals:
brand_model_language.zip (Ie. canon_814xls-black_ger.zip)
All characters must be lower case. Use multi for multilingual manuals.
Ok, but how do I FTP upload a file?
First of all you would need to obtain an FTP program. Go to http://www.tucows.com and look for FTP clients. Here you can download your favourite one. Recommended clients are Ie. CuteFTP, FlashFXP, WS_FTP and similare.
Open this program and create a new profile that you name "Shooting 8mm" and enter the following settings:
Hostname: ftp.filmshooting.com
Username: anonymous
Password: yourem@il.address (Yes, your email!)
Now, press save and then connect. You should now see 4 folders (/etc, /tmp, /pub and /upload). Doubleclick on the folder /upload.
You're now in the right place for uploads. Choose your destination directory (manuals for manuals or video for movie clips Etc.) Locate the .zip file you just created on your local harddrive and transfer it to Shooting 8mm directory. When the indicator tells you you're done, the manual should be uploaded.
To be able to identify all manuals and keep them track of who uploaded it and so on I ask you to please post a message to this thread which includes the following information:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Brand (manual)
- Model (manual)
- Exact filename (.zip file)
- Filesize (of the .zip file if you know it)
- Language
Then I will have it added as soon as possible!
When a manual has been added, your post will have the text "ADDED" in large red letters written on the top.
Thanks!

Elmo 912 Dual 8mm Editor
The booklet for the editor is 700KB unzipped and will fit onto one floppy disk. It has been made into a web using FrontPage2000. Index is the cover; all the child pages are listed at the top; at the bottom, starting on page 1, back and next are provided for page turning.
I just sold one of the Editors on e-bay for $50 including shipping; the booklet was provided to the buyer on a floppy disk, unzipped.
