Bootsale find: Eumig Mark 501, Manual Available

Post by gianni1 »

Anyone need a pdf of the English or German instructions for a Eumig Mark 501? I taped the two halves together, a bit faded too.

Picked up the actual 501 projector at a boot sale in Elstree (UK). The box was in sorry shape. Got it home, cleaned the lens and found the inside pristine and new. Even my significant other appreciated it. Projected Dawn Patrol perfectly. £5.00 with new power cable. I was actually looking for a Eumig 610D....

Nice!

The Eumig's are beautifully built and the chassis' castings are fantastic. I have a Eumig 610D which is the basis of the diy telecine system I've developed.

The car boot sales up here in the north are just full of garden mowers, hub caps and other peoples clothes - obviously a better class in Elstree!

I had been reading your site recently....

....That's what got me interested in the 610D. I'm a bit short of change for a workprinter. If I ever get a 610D... I'll be back...

Short change, that was my inspiration for the Eumig modifications....

A 607 should do as it goes down to 3 fps, or is the tape start mechanism on the 610 used?
New web site and this is cine page http://www.picsntech.co.uk/cine.html

Any of the Eumigs with 3fps, although 6fps seems to also work fine in testing....

My Daughter and Son in Law just bought one of these for me from eBay for my birthday as I have dozens of films to watch made by my parents in the 60's and 70's. It came without instructions so I would be very grateful to have a pdf copy of your car boot find.

My sincere thanks Gianni. Had been able to use it already as it is very easy to handle being self threading but, will now be able to change bulbs etc as and when needed.

Many thanks again

Hi

bit of a long shot... just got hold of one of these nice and cheap and it seems to work well, but I'd love to get hold of a manual if anyone's got a scan or pics of one handy...

cheers

Found it on my bookshelf. See attachment below. Two sides to the document, German and English. Scanned on iPhone.
