I know lots of the Nizo's have the ability to lock the shutter open for time exposures. Can someone confirm that you can do this on the S48? I ask because I have one being repaired and I asked the tech to fix that feature (currently shutter does not stay open). But if this model does not do it I can tell him and save him some time.
Thanks
Rick

Re: Nizo S48 question
I used to have both the S56 and S80, all in the same class.
Neither of these had the ability to lock the shutter open.
Only fade out or lock at half shutter.
I think that feature is only on the "Autom. B" versions(models ending in 0).

Re: Nizo S48 question
Thanks, but I made a mistake. I should have said S480 (instead of 48), in same class as S560 and S800. S560 and S800 definitely allow shutter to be locked open.
So my revised question: can you do it with the S480?

To clarify, not all models ending in a zero have the auto "B" feature.vidwerk wrote: I think that feature is only on the "Autom. B" versions(models ending in 0).

My mistake. Only the Nizo Pro and models ending in "1" have the "autom. B" function. As for models ending in "0", I don't know, never had one.
But if you can lock the shutter open with all the other "zero" models,
I wouldn't be surprised if you can do it with the 480.

click on s480, then scroll to bottom image - you can just make out the locking button...

Re: Nizo S48 question
Thanks Mitch. I know the lever and button are there, was just suspicious that it didn't function like the other higher end models. I am going to presume that it should allow the shutter to be locked open like on the others.Mitch Perkins wrote:
