...I got a PM about the 30 second short on my You Tube site. "Figure of Eight". This is a snip from promo piece I did with a digital SLR. The music is from the band by the same name. Mark Clem and Pierre Crutchfield et. allin Seattle.

The short film that this thread is about is the one called "scaffolds".

Thanks for the interest.

since you don't tell us what quicktime version you're using, how could we?

that's odd then, because so do i and it works. maybe you need to download the file and open in quicktime player. i do that all the time, gives you fullscreen playback too.

...the Youtube link seems to work fine. Not the best quality, but seems to make the most sense until I work out the details. Hope you get a chance to check it out.

I've added the link to my signature below.

Cheers, and thanks for the interest. Hope the film connects in some way.

I loved Scaffolds, fantastic!
Figure of 8 is cool too, is there a full version I can watch somewhere?

Thank you for sharing your films,
Chris.

Glad you like them. The Figure of 8 piece was just a proof-of-concept piece. e.g. the digital SLR thing. We haven't gone further with it, although reactions to it have been favorable. Seems to me 30 seconds is about as long as one can get away with that sort of thing before it becomes to visually jarring.

Nice work Steve, I really liked watching it. You do some beautiful and artistic cinematography. The B&W was looking just how I like it on many shots... Hard to tell on youtube, but I was assuming the street shots of (you?) were TriX in the sweet spot, nice blacks and textures. Keep it up.
100D and Vision 3 please

Tony,

The character in the film is not me. I'm behind the lens. This film is mostly a mash-up of b-roll footage and lens and camera tests. That street stuff looks pretty good in full-res and unfortunately falls apart on yOuTuBe. I'm still learning about dialing-in the Flash player.

It is plus-x super 8 shot with an Angeniuex 10mm prime with immaculate coatings. (love this lens)

I want to get my hands on some of that 100D color reversal film that you've been shooting. I bet it would look amazing with this lens.
