Daniel Craig(James Bond) shoots Super 8!

Post by HTTK »

Pretty cool if you ask me. Look at the photos below. The Bond 22 production team was in Italy shooting a horse race there. Craig wasn't filming as James Bond in any scenes(news story link) but it looks like 007 brought along his Super 8 camera to shoot some of his own action! I can't make out what type of camera it is but I'm sure some of you guys can! :) In one of the shots I was thinking it was a Single 8 Fuji but not sure. Anyway...thought this was cool as another celebrity likes and shoots Super 8!!! :D
If anyone finds any more images feel free to add them!

Looks like a Canon to me.

There's heaps of really good Super 8 footage on the extras of the old bond film dvd's - like Her Majesty's etc.

Anyway good on him - just imagine the amound of film he could afford to shoot!

i'm pretty sure of it in fact. may not be that particular model but quite sure it's a sankyo.

Yeah it looks like Sankyo (CM-600?). The odd folding hand grip gives it away.

Not a Canon... but maybe a Nikon?

Cool. Firstly Kate Moss, now James Bond... who will be the next one?

I can see it looks more and more like a Sankyo too as I look at it. I knew you all would be able to "decode" what camera it was. ;)

Indeed which celebrity is next?

Well we all know that Neil Young shoots on super 8 with a Eumig Nautica. And I believe the drummer of The Police is into super 8. Hmmm...I wonder if Steven Speilberg could be encouraged to pick up super 8 again....

Seconded.

Its basic shape is identical to my Sankyo MF606 so I am very familiar with the form. Its a Sankyo for sure, older than mine so probably the CM600. In the first pic that is the filter screw key hanging from the hand strap.

cool Mr Bond.

Could be a reflection from a wall on the other side of the street or from the sunset as well...
