My Ebay win

Post by Super8rules »

I just won this Sankyo camera on Ebay. I remember placing a very low bid, not expecting to win, but I did get it for close to nothing.

have no idea how old the film is, but I've always wanted one of these Sankyo's since seeing their full page ads on the back covers of Super8 Filmaker back in the 70's. Back then, they were running $600 plus dollars if I recall correctly, so way out of my price range as a teenager.

Should be fun to shoot with.

That looks like 8 packs of Kodachrome sound film. Lucky you. They should still be OK. Only $5 a roll to develop these days.

Nice score for you! However when I see lots like this with a lot of film I just
think of what a huge loss it is for the seller. Eight exposed reels shot way
back 'when' would be more valuable as family movies than the 30 bucks they got now.

Great result for you!

Silly seller for refusing to post outside the USA...I bet he'd have got more bids.

And I am also sad whenever I buy a camera that has unused film...especailly if it had been 400' of K'chrome! What a shame, 20 minutes or more of priceless memories that the original family won't have...but you can!

Nope. This "5.something US$"-price is only available inside the USA. Plus: you'll have to pay Dwaynes or Wittner for the additional shipping costs.
This space was left intenionally blank.

There is only one lab in the world now that develops Kodachrome.

Dwayne's Photo of Parsons, Kansas, USA. However they are really good at dealing with us foreigners.
