Well, I thought I stumbled upon something familiar!

Out of the many final projects screened for Lisha's class, I think this one was one of the better-crafted... not to mention refreshing considering all the music videos present. The cat would have looked more convincing if even its arms moved, but it looked like a stuffed animal being thrown around most of the time.

I like the cinemascope; nice to know I'm not the only one who uses it.

One question I forgot to ask, though, is do you actually speak Spanish, or did you have a translator?

I don't really speak much spanish. My mother-in-law, however, is from Equador. She helped with the translation.

I shot with an anamorphic lens over the taking lens, which I think added some diffusion. Beyond that , it's just what my little Panasonic GS65 picked up ( a $500 3chip miniDV camera). I tried to use smoke machines and spray diffusion for all interior shots. So, no grain or anything in post. Actually, I think the grain you see on the web page version is actually the compression I used! If you are intrested, download the less compressed version. The sound was also just what the camera mic picked up. I added a little echo and band filter here and there. I wish I could have made better costumes. I just bought masks off e-bay, and used long underwear and boxershorts. Hats were from thrift stores.
