I haven't been on the forum for a while and wasn't aware if this John - My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I also echo what others have said - the most important thing to remember, regardless of the situation, is NEVER give up and never stop fighting. I think that the state of your mind is very important.
Best wishes,
Matt

Brief Setback for John Pytlak
I had a brief setback, and spent three days in the hospital last week. Had some severe cramping which could have been an intestinal obstruction, but it was just an after-effect of the surgery I had on November 14. I'm back home again, and just started my chemotherapy, which hopefully will be effective in slowing down the cancer. The list of chemotherapy side-effects is scary, but hopefully they will be mild for me.

Thanks for the Good Wishes
Thanks for all the good wishes.
Had a brief setback last week, and spend four more days in the hospital. The 10-inch long incision from my November 14 surgery had gotten infected underneath (subcutaneous hematoma), and required drainage and a few days of IV antibiotics to stop the infection (102F fever). I'm back home again, but have two deep open wounds that need twice-daily treatment.

I know how you feel. I was diagnosed with a t-cell lymphoma of my spleen and liver 2 weeks ago and started chemo the following week. I'm in hospital at the moment with a laptop abusing their wireless internetThe list of chemotherapy side-effects is scary, but hopefully they will be mild for me.

I have found that the anxiety or anticipation of what's going to happen is often worse than the reality. So just try and keep yourself calm and stress free and you'll pull through fine.
I've had a few severe side effects (oh man the cramps!) but I just keep telling myself it'll pass and i'll be out of here soon. Keeping a positive outlook is everything.
Hopefully I can get a few rolls of 500T and document my treatment on super-8. Not sure I want to be reminded of this when I'm out but it should help to take my mind off things

My best wishes to you John, lets see who gets better first ok?
Aengus.
