Beaulieu MAR 8G lens

I have just acquired a Beaulieu Standard 8 camera with the zoom lens. The lens, however, is a bit loose. It doesn't seem to be interchangeable, but it is not tightly mounted to the body. Does anyone have experience of this camera? Is there a way of tightening the lens? The spring motor winds and runs perfectly and the lens glass looks good. Thanks,
