After years of wanting some kind of simple particle transfer roller assembly for basic dust removal on 8/16mm films, I finally found one on Ebay last week. Nice little rig, weighs about 18lbs. I bought the rollers for $25 each, sold as slightly used. They appear to be fresh, but do not seem to be adhesive. Is this normal for PTR's?
The assemblies are no longer being made, but there are only a few options to buy the rollers new and they're not cheap. Kodak sells them for $78-$83 each with a minimum order of 6. There is one other seller but not any different.
