New full res CITIZENS trailer: 720x450

Post by npcoombs »

Hi All

Just to let you know that a full-res trailer of the CITIZENS project is up on the website. This is far from a final trailer for the project, but I thought you might be curious nevertheless. You need Quicktime 7 and some hefty bandwidth because its 20MB, but ultimately we will be using Flash and tighter compression.

There is also more information about the films in the project, plus thumbnails of nearly all the films. In the news section, with editorial permission by Small Format, you can read a 'Making Of' article about the film 'David, King of Israel' about the Iranian beauty contest in Israel.

All comments, feedback and questions more than welcome.

Cheers

hmm this is a simple Quicktime embed, so I don't know what the problem could be - this is beyond my technical knowledge to resolve...

It needs to be deinterlaced. I see all sorts of weird fringing going on that makes it look like it was shot on video.

(Assuming I've picked the reference right) what's the reference to Tout va bien all about?

Nice music.

Anyone know what's happened to this project? Seems this project has died, the website is no longer up.

Well a PHD would certainly eat up any spare time. Though I'm surprised he'd completely abandon the project without some sort of announcement. The project appeared to be quite close to completion, though he did have to extend the deadline so perhaps the unexpected delays ran up against his educational pursuits.
