Just to add would email him, before sending your camera ask for a qoute & is he able to fix repair CLA the make http://microdeltabalears.com/marcas.htm of camera & has spare parts .

With the Canon ds8 seems that the photo cell is the main flaw with this camera ? The electric eye operation stop being sensitive over the years .
the camera meter gets stuck a real pain this late 60s early 70s Canon design ! Looks like it better to use the camera on manual with a light meter .
my camera had fungus & dirt in the veiwfinder / lens , So very happy that the camera could be CLA . :ymhug:

Hello. I am looking for CLA/Repair of my Nizo Professional

Does any other names come to mind local to the USA?

I have reached out to Du-All Camera and MonsterflipsUSA but they are backlogged and not accepting cameras at the moment.

The light meter gets stuck depending on temp, humidity, & usage. I have noticed it is relative to the metal cover surrounding the meter/aperture blade assembly. My guess is this is just needing adjustment of the housing, but would like to rely on an expert to go any further.

Any recommendation beyond the listed above would be great. I am currently just playing the waiting game until they are accepting new repairs.

Thanks
Ryan

Hi!

Does KCR only services still cameras?
https://bluemooncamera.com/store/produc ... ervice-kcr

But these two companies should repair S8-cameras:
http://www.walterscamerarepairs.com/
https://www.photocenter.biz/services

Or you‘ll have to send it to France to André Egido: https://www.cine-super8.net/index.php?ordpp=102

yeah, Bluemoon only services still cameras (there isn't anyone I know of in Oregon which services motion picture cameras)

and be careful with Photocenter, Marvin Meister does work on cameras but he seems to be very backlogged (my R8 has been with him since July 2020 and he never responds to my emails asking for an update)

The guy that used to work for Spectrum, is he still in the business? I think his name was Willard. He did great work.

He didn't get much applause later on. Eternal lasting repairs et cetera.
Check the forum.
Is he still alive?
Kind regards,

André
