Speaking of "F for Fake", I see that somebody with a wrestling mask fixation and confrontational attitude is posting as "Blue Demon" over at cinematography.com (only days after another mask guy abandoned his nom de guerre and account). Same guy? Or an acolyte? Stay tuned ... Tha...

I doubt it. At those high numbers they corrugated the body before finally deciding to grow it with the arrival of sound models, while that photo looks like a much smoother body than those corrugated high model numbers.

Okay, who's gonna call Dhorasso first to ask him about which model it is? ;)

http://www.cinamat.com/vikashbauer.jpg Tinier body than of the comparable sound models, two knobs in the upper left corner of the body, fat "BAUER" logo not down below but more right from that (closer to operator's face), right below the two knobs is the more faint labels "BACKLIGHT&...

Be careful here. Like Taelon, I would be surprised if your camera read 64t as 160. Have you got an old k40 cart (or similar) with which to do an exposure comparisom? Okay, the simple K40 comparison does it, I obviously mistook the filter pin for the ASA pin. So that settles it as 64T being read as ...

In case you'd see the back of a head, face pushed to a camera, I'd start worrying. ;)

The 40T was processed by Dwaynes (White reel and box) and it had blue streaks and other scratches. Both were shot using the same camera and played on the same projector. I'm a 100D convert and don't miss Kodachrome anymore. BTW all of Kodak's current stocks (including 64T) seem a hell of a lot less...

OK. Now just to clarify... You should set your camera for tungsten and not daylight. This will "deactivate" the colour-correction filter (80A or similar). If shooting outside, you should then use an 85 filter on the lens and open up 2/3 of a stop, so in effect you are still exposing for 4...

How much f-stop compensation for 64T again?

I'm about to shoot 64T in my Revue cam this week. My cam's manual states it reads 40ASA and 160ASA only, and its f-stop compensation dial goes 2 f-stops plus and minus so all in all a 4 stop compensation range. Now, I remember you have to compensate either up and down, depending on whether one's cam...

Re: Sound recording with Pulse generator

Arislan wrote:If I understand correctly, the recorder then tapes 1 pulse every frame and keeps the sound in synch with the picture. If that's the case, what is the disadvantage in this system?
Higher noise level than a digital recording?

The Supermag? I thought that's a failed project because its inventor didn't get any footage for it, and now he's so broke and ruined he even lost his internet access? The last time he's posted here was last November. Anyway, how many frames are there in 400 (ft? m?)? How much shooting time would tha...

But still, well-shot K40, Velvia50D, and Wittnerchrome100D in S8 looks like 16mm at least.

That said, that recent 16mm music video we were shown looked like 35mm to me. I suspect it's basically modern stock (and partly telecining) evolution.

In Germany, payment is largely made via an "Ueberweisungsformula" - you go to the bank, get a payment form, fill it out, stamp it with the date and put it in a little postbox that sits in every bank. Such an Ãœberweisung is nothing but a "money transfer" or "bank transfer...

He feels being in their presence is a sin and they also make him break out in a cold sweat. He returns their kindness with meanness, but the girls only feel compassion and pity for him.(antagonism) This makes him even more bitter. The encounters with the girls work to reveal his deepest fears and t...
