Re: Nizo S48 question

My mistake. Only the Nizo Pro and models ending in "1" have the "autom. B" function. As for models ending in "0", I don't know, never had one. But if you can lock the shutter open with all the other "zero" models, I wouldn't be surprised if you can do it with ...

Re: Nizo S48 question

I used to have both the S56 and S80, all in the same class.
Neither of these had the ability to lock the shutter open.
Only fade out or lock at half shutter.
I think that feature is only on the "Autom. B" versions(models ending in 0).

Very cool.
Colors look amazing.
When I had 64T crossed, the transfer looked nothing like that.
In fact everything blended to green.

So this camera can automatically take ektachrome 100D?

Should be fine. Ensure filter is out, which it should do anyway, and set the filter switch the daylight(sun) position.

Re: Focusing Canon 310XL

When using the C-8 wide angle attachment, set the lens to infinity and lock the cam into macro. No other adjustments are necessary. You may have issues with focus when using the wide in very low light situations(ie. iris at fully open). When using the camera without the wide attachment in low light,...

Re: "Pass The Cart" project, Official Thread

I mailed the letter to romeojesus on the 12th of August. It's been over a month. I don't see him making contact. This shit really pisses me off. Perhaps someone can pay him a visit. Anyone live near Cologne Germany? For my portion of the cart I filmed the Toronto skyline during "earth hour"...

Re: Bauer Royal 6E macro

Nothing to be worried about. Just be cautious. Good thing you're getting a manual. If ever in doubt, look through the back of the camera and ensure you can see light coming through the gate while running the camera. Doesn't hurt to practice engaging the fade and cross dissolve feature without film s...

Re: Bauer Royal 6E macro

The big dial on the side is the shutter control. Allows one variable adjustments as well as fades and cross dissolves. A bit complex to explain. You really should get the manual. I don't like to admit it, but once I fired off 2 rolls of K40 in the Bauer A512, only to realize 2 weeks later the shutte...

Check your lightmeter batteries. I'd say fire off a roll of tri-x.
If in doubt, load your cam with weincells.

I think I remember reading somewhere that B&W is more sensitive to the bluer spectrum(daylight), hence the higher asa.

Re: Canon 310XL and Nizo UWL type I

I just got back from Dwaynes a couple of rolls of K40, one of which I tested the 310xl and the nizo uwl type I. Thank the lord I only tested it at the last 5 feet of the roll, because it didn't work. I thought it wouldn't be much different from using the c-8. I was wrong. Image was out of focus, but...

Re: Redscale motion picture?

It may not be possible with motion picture film due to the rem-jet backing. This didn't even occur to me. If the remjet backing will cause redscale to not work. You could try using E100D in 16mm as it does not have remjet. Good to know. Thanks. I don't necessarily need double perf film. I was plann...
