For Super 8 you only need the 15 m Lomo tank. I can confirm that the results are good.
One thing I don't understand about "bucket processing" is how you manage to sort out the 15 m of intertwined film again. I have sometimes problems with the 7,5 m of slit standard 8 film, which is DRY.

Re: Gauge Film Processing Service
I've never had a cartridge jam on me, ... Two months ago I could have said this as well; recently I used two E100D of different batches and both jammed, one at the beginning, one more towards the end. Different cameras didn't help, banging didn't help, only pulling the film out at bit and winding i...

Worst constructions in Super 8 cameras
What is your experience? The worst I found recently in a Nizo 4056. Camera powered up when pressing the main switch but no motor running when pressing the start button. Turns out that there was no connection at the film speed dial - on the main board there are plastic discs which turn metal connecto...

Re: Lecina 8v 8mm camera
I guess your battery holder is the same as in my Leicina 8SV. I experienced similar problems and what I found was: the battery holder contacts have to be blank; the batteries have to be put in to the limit (not every make of battery is slim enough to fit and if you press too hard you might even brak...

Re: I Never Had A Stuck Cart Or An Abnormal Image Jump
Personally I never had film stuck in a cartridge; jitter only due to old grease on camera gears ...
Only took about 500 m over the last three years though.
Funny though that I had jitter with Standard 8 once.

Re: Canon 1014 scraping off emulsion
Hi Gareth! You know that the take up spindle in the cartridge has some type of mechanism that the film on it can not unroll? When you take a new cartridge and you pull some film from the new side and then turn the take up spindle you will hear a clicking sound. To be able to pull film off the take u...

Re: Focusing Issues
Sorry, forgot to mention: before you screw the front lens element in again you have to turn the zoom ring to maximum setting.

Re: Focusing Issues
On the focusing barrel you find a rubber grip. Lift it a bit and slide it off. Below there are three little screws and one big one: loosen all of them until you can take off the focusing barrel (don't drop any little screw, you'll never find it again!). Screw off the front lens element. You will fin...

Now that this thread has turned to the real thing I give you this link:

It's a 2011 advert of a German/Austrian DIY market shot entirely on Standard 8. There was a report on it in one of the recent issues of Schmalfilm.

Point of emulating Super 8 imperfections
Seems that imperfections of film are hip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-cBigmRvwk
Even jitter was emulated into it.
I wish they'd really use Super 8 film - but I guess to get such a bad result back from developing is quite hard ...

Re: Lomography introduces handcranked 35mm Lomokino Movie Ca
I don't understand the discussion. It is what it is: a very cheap way of taking moving pictures. Some people will find it fun - like there is more than enough out there who like the blury pictures of a lomo camera - and others won't like the lack of precision and the jumpy picture. I count myself in...

Re: Eumig 830XL, 860, 880 Aperture adjustment
I believe this is the same for the mini 3, 5, and nautica also (which is basically a mini 3 in a submarine house). It's bee a long time since I have had to open up a mini, but isn't there variable resistors in these as well? I think there is variable resistors in the Mini 3 and the Nautica but they...

Re: Foma B/W Reversal Kit
There must be something special about developing Foma reversal films otherwise Wittner would not offer it seperately from ordinary b/w reversal processing; they write that Foma reversal film needs a special type of processing. I read somewhere that Foma R100 film has a special layer on the back of t...

Re: Minolta XL 400
Hi Lunar07! I don't know whether it's my camera or do they all do it? My XL401opens the aperture more than two stops when engaging the backlight correction. With this I got strong overexposure.

Re: Minolta XL 400
I used my Minolta XL401 with 100D recently and got nice results: the colours are very rich, it is a bit on the darker side but you wouldn't call it underexposed. The trick to compensate with the "+" setting (backlight control) does not work as the aperture opens too much and the image gets...
