Ads usually use the best possible medium, which is almost always going to be 35mm. I can’t remember which company it was, but they were advertising consumer digital products including mobile phone video functions etc; the ad was definitely not shot with one of the products they were advertisi...

I definately would agree that it is a cartridge problem. I've shot E64T (with and without the precision plate) and there hasn't been a problem yet.

The aperture should adjust. I have the same camera and there has been no problems. I will double check tonight though.

Sounds like they just badly described the fact that they can only project video, 16 and 35mm. No it doesn't, this is exactly the point of my posts. I think they knew EXACTLY what they were saying. This fest is no piss ant little thing and they pay people to carefully word things to get exactly what...

I've done a test before with a small audience with an actual reel of super 8 footage and that same movie filmed with a miniDV with post work done onto it and the entire audience could not tell the difference. I am a person who makes films more for the watcher than just to myself, for its the audien...

That really is a 'teaser'. It looks great. I wish it was just a tad longer. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

It is fairly flat. I didn't find the stills all that great either.
Then again, I wouldn't want to form an impression from just a few stills.
But from what I can see - yes, a couple of the shots do look like dv stills.

It does say "originate" on video, and maybe "presented" means for consideration, as opposed to projection during the actual fest. So maybe during the fest they project 16/35mm only, with tape originated entries on film prints? Mitch I think it’s just a careless descriptio...

Perhaps they just don't project 8mm.
If they accept video, then they accept 16mm transfered to video, 35mm transfered to video and shouldn't have a problem with 8mm transfered to video.
