Scott, your short film at the moment is kind of like a long intro with the central plot only just beginning. To me, the structure of the film is not working well for a short film. I'm assuming your film will be anything from 15-18 minutes? All the light humour in the beginning needs to be shorter; k...

Good luck with it all. I’m sure it will turn out fine.
The thing with scripts is that they don’t always represent the vision the director has for the film.
It’s nice that you will be putting a bit of Australian history into a short film.

All the best.

Sorry about that post. I was copying and pasting - but still don't know how it turned out to be the way it is.

If you want it to be about the mother and daughter – then I think that you need to do just that. At the moment the film is not really about a mother and daughters relationship. I’m not saying make it obvious, hell no!  But you do need to have something more in there that shows that. I...

I finally got to read your script Scott. I think that the riot that started at the concert is an interesting idea. After reading your script I couldn’t help but think that this idea could have been explored differently. I don’t understand the purpose of the film. You have a central cha...

Sure, I am all for the use of film on television shows but why on earth would they use film on a show like this?? I would imagine that the target audience would comprise of undescriminating kids about the same age as the actors on the show who probably couldnt care less about the look of the medium...

here's a thought, use a tripod and let her tell her story - pull back a bit (tiny bit) on the camera to get her Jezebel panties and the top of her head in the same shot - otherwise, forget the head and just show the panties. m I couldn’t agree more. The shot needs to be wider and the actor s...

Great story, great actors, great director, cinematographer; shot on film is always a winner though. But then again, great story, great actors, great director, cinematographer; shot on interlaced video is also always good. At the end of the day, content is all that matters. Roger, you’re right...

I use the pressure plate - it's great.
The difference is more noticeable in not so good cameras.

Scott, Yes I'm talking about Home and Away. I don't watch it either, I don't like it one bit - I just remember noticing the difference one day when I was flicking channels. I was only refering to the Progressive vs Interlaced aspect of it. BTW: I'm glad you didn't shoot 'In my Image' on Video, inter...

Mattias, shoot it on super 8. You know that it’s going to look special. Don’t fight it – just shoot it on super 8.

This thought has crossed my mind several times before also. Film definitely the ‘look’ that we have all come to expect from it. A lot of tv shows that are from the States are shot on film, actually all of the ones that come to mind are. In Australia, not everything on TV is shot on film...

64t is my favored colour wedding stock, I use it because.... it looks like super8! It's also much sharper than it gets credit for and it's colours pop too. I agree. It's sharp and the colours do 'pop'. I noticed on your website that you have two super 8 packages for weddings, 10 and 20mins. Do clie...

I wasn’t aware of your new project Scott. I was looking into it on your site – I think Rebecca’s Riot is an interesting idea. I downloaded the script (3rd draft I believe), I’m looking forward to reading it.
