I watched the film and thought it was quite good. At first I was watching from a technical perspective but did find myself involved more and more with the strory as it progressed. Having said that, the jitter did interrupt my attention. Well done though Scott. You went out and shot a film (on super ...

I'm a new member - no. 760 to be precise. I've found the site very helpful in the past and recently joined so that I could participate also. I'm currently trying to organize a couple of projects. One being a little featurette. I film all the time though. Many Mini projects on weekends with my family...

I send mine to a lady that works at Kodak in Coburg Melbourne. It takes a week to 3 weeks. I do think it's fairly quick though - the Xmas season might have slowed it down. The lady at Kodak (Vicky) told me that even if I sent my S8 to N.S.W with the mailer, it would still have to go through her hand...

If your friends band has already recorded the track, you can always have it playback while they are performing for the filming of it. Assuming your going to have cut away shots, it shouldn't be too difficult to sync the pre-recorded track to the visual after in post. A cut away here and there to say...

Super 8 changed my life too. Something that wasn't part of my life at all is now an every day obsession with me. I don't even have any memories as a child on super 8. I now shoot regularly on Super 8, all the time actually. I don't own a digital camera, so my family gatherings are recorded on Super ...

Telecine or Scan?
I'm actually in the process of finding out about where and how I can get my Super 8 telecined or scanned in Australia. There seems to be a fair few hidden places that do it in Melbourne. In February I'm flying up to Sydney for the Tropfest Short Film Festival. While I'm there I'm going to get some f...

G'day from Down Under!
Hi to all the members. I became a member of the forum a few days ago and just thought I'd introduce myself. My real name is Ertugrul Togacay and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I'm a graphic designer by profession and have been shooting Super 8 for about a year and a half. I've learnt a lot from this...
