Re: Super 8 Bulk 100D Available in the USA? YEP!!!!

Actually I'm going to ask if I can get it sent to me pre-cut to 50' lengths. If not I'll take one of the films I already have that is known unedited 50' wound tightly on a 50' reel. I'll mark the reel w/ a utility blade all the way around where the film rests. I'll use that reel as the first referen...

lol Chas... Yeah, you saw all my goodies and stuff. I'm very technical and hands on. Spectra is very expensive if you want to buy 100D in 50' carts. I'm all about finding the best bargain. Plus I have a case of 20 or so Kaccemas to put to good use! I'm going to order it this week. I can hardly wait ...

Re: Super 8 Bulk 100D Available in the USA? YEP!!!!

Damn, I have no cameras that run 100-foot loads of DS8...darn... NOT DS8 Mike! Super 8. He's had DS8 available forever. Now we can get that DS8 professionally / precision slit and load it into Kaccemas/ Agfa , or Kodapak carts. Prior to that the only way to get 100D is from Spectra or Pro 8mm in $2...

Re: I have a new business plan!

I took my wife's 05 C230 to the dealer for it's last under warranty service and got a ride in a courtesy E series Blue-tec diesel. It was very quite and smooth. I asked the guy driving to "punch it" and it about broke my neck! It made something like 300 HP and 500 lbft' of torque! I don't ...

Super 8 Bulk 100D Available in the USA? YEP!!!!

I'm incredibly pleased to announce that John Schwind has agreed to make Kodak Ekatchrome 100D available in bulk for super 8 users. I'll be ordering next week and filling up my Kaccemas! It's not on his new website, but he will do it. The cost is the same as a 100' of DS8 100D of $44.00 + $15 slittin...

I'm yer huckleberry.... I have an Elm0 230SXL... Like new shape, have put some film through it, works perfectly. Sadly only 18FPS... But I wonder internally if it could be modified to run 24FPS... I'll sell if if you really need it...

Re: Tri-X : Who is Cheapest?

How much do you want? I can get any amount for $11-12 directly from Kodak, and so can you. Not sure if they'll ship it directly to you. If not I can get it for you and ship it directly to you USPS International Priority Mail flat rate box which will hold 10-20 carts for $15-25 USD. If you want some ...

Re: Developing 64T

In the guides I sent you there is one that lists out the time/temp extensions for subsequent rolls of film. It also talks about exhastion of the chemistry by number of films and the color of the chem as well. I've strethced my chem pretty far by replenishing it. did 5 carts w/ the last one being and...

Re: Developing 64T

I was just looking at the Kodak Ektachrome Push/ Pull Charts.... 12 minutes is + 2.5 stops! That's w/in the 3 stop + tolerence of the film, but probably WAY TOO FAR in your case... You probably needed something more like 10 minutes +1.5 stops.... Check the Kodak site for all the info there. It's rea...

Re: Developing 64T

Each set of chemicals has it's own lifespan. Even if you're putting them in air tight containers, there's enough air on top of them in the container to age them faster. You mitigate this issue and make your chemistry last longer by squeezing all the air out and then sealing the bottle, and or use so...

Re: Sync Sound Question

If the band is going to "playsync" along w/ the acutal music, and you record all of that w/ DV camera you can import that alongside your film and use that as a guide to sync the video/sound with the film and then the .wav file of the stuidio recorded track. A good way to make the wild sync...

Re: sound recording

Use a DV camera and record the interview. Then you can use the video next to your film transfer to sync it up. Or if you can get your hands on a synced sound recorder. I have sealed, frozen 200' K40 sound cart from USC and 1 50' K40 sound of questionable orgin and 3 E160's sound frozen from John Sch...

Re: New Film Transfer Unit spotted on RetroThing.com...

Now if he'll throw in a desk top film processor for no more than $500-$700 more, he'll have a deal! Who wouldn't love to see that! But in order to build such a low volume specialty product like that you'd better put a 1 or 2 in front of those 5's and 7's. Olex in Ukraine sells a desktop 16mm...
