Labs that Xfer Negative stock to Reversal

Hi, I was just curious who offers the possibility of printing reversal stocks from a negative. Widescreen Centre used to offer this but when I checked last time on their new and impoved website all I could find was stock sales, processing, and telecining. Nothing about printing. Are there any other ...

Wow thanks to all of you for the help. The TV I used was an HDV Tube TV. Not too common now a days but the only issue I had was flicker, color and contrast was verbatim. Of course I cannot say that's be true for frame-by-frame so I'll definately take in the advice from all of you when I work on this...

Make your own release print?

So I've been toying with the idea for a while now. I'm thinking of different ways to go about it. I've already done some tests. I have an HDTV flast screen with no glare. When I mounted my Canon 514XL and framed it right, there was no glare and when I got the roll back the contast an picture was as ...

Re: no ideas for a script....

It would seem that my biggest dilemma is simply not knowing what to shoot. I have all this knowledge and "expertise" but simply put, I don't have any ideas that are simple enough to put onto film. Most of the ideas I come up with are complex and require things that I don't have access to....

Those High High End Beaulieus

So I was wondering, what is the 6008 Pro-Digital? Is it just have a digi-counter on it? And the 9008, does that have an output for a video monitor? I thought I read somewhere that a very expensive super-8 camera (which I thought was the 9008) had a component output for a monitor. Is that true? I was...

You should have asked me three weeks ago. I was out on the Oonadatta Track in the middle of the Australian Outback. I shot some footage for a client in HDV. Damn, well that would've been nice :( Consider this as a possible alternative. Using a landscape program such as Bryce or Vue 6 (http://www.e-...

Stock Footge or 2nd Unit DP needed!

Hey, my film group is working on a project with a scene that takes place in what will appear to be a post-war earth, like Mad Max or Road Warrior type of thing. We were hoping to have a scene shot in the desert but since the nearest one is 2,000 miles away, it's not in our funds to bring actors or e...

Super8 on the web

I'm a little curious as to what format everybody saves super 8 clips for on the web. I've tried Mpeg-4, with a size of 100mb, and it looks a little to distorted. What for example was this format put to?:

Re: Super-8 Cities NTSC out now - read interview, watch trai

hi all After some frustrating delays and problems I am now happy to say that Super-8 Cities is available in NTSC format. The DVD has been getting great reviews and a lot of interest. Check out the interview on Shooting People: http://www.shootingpeople.org/shooterfilms/interview.php?int_id=82 The t...

In small clubs with bad lighting, you still need 500T with the apeture wide open. Sometimes that isn't even enough if the lights really suck. I've had no problems with 64T low light, but don't forget to negotiate with the lighting guy and ask for something brighter. Sometimes they're jerks about bu...

Galleries Indie Theatres etc.

Does anyone know of any theatres or screening galleries, that are non festival? I'm just looking for ones like CAMERA in Toronto. They might be bars/theatres that kind of thing. I'm jus looking for places to exhibit projects besides Flicker and other festivals. I know there are two or three in Seatt...

Cool, thanks for the responses. Yeah I could tell the Fellini films were dubbed. I have a feeling in "The 400 Blows," the gain was turned up so that the dialogue would drown out the noise of the camera, which at times I did pick. Just a thought, since the audio yends to get overmodulated. ...
