Re: Is Blu-Ray here for the duration??

Argh I'm just saying that OS X is much more secure than windows and that's why there are no real viruses to speak of on the mac while there are countless on windows, and not (or at least, not JUST) because more people use pcs. Re: The Dead Next Door

The wikipedia for the film says it was made for "next to nothing." On the other hand I've heard it called the most expensive super8 movie ever made.
These are not mutually exclusive. I'm sure the most expensive super 8 movie is still 'next to nothing' in the grand scheme of things.

Re: Is Blu-Ray here for the duration??

One type of hacker just does it for the glory of it all and the more 'elite' and specialised the target the better the recognition. - That works too. The more obscure and niche and tricky the better for hackers; who wants to write more boring windows viruses when they could do something esoteric in...

Re: Is Blu-Ray here for the duration??

The circular reasoning in this argument is like the Mac-elite telling everyone that they should get a Mac because Macs are not prone to virus problems like PCs. But the reason that viruses are written for PCs is because PCs have the largest share of the market place. If everyone started using Macs,...

and/or my attention span is only 9 words longer than yours. :)

Anyway M dot Strange for one has made a successful feature film (almost) entirely on his own, and an animated one at that! - http://www.wearethestrange.com/

Yep. I guess that's why they 'rebranded' it 'climate change'... too many people missing the point because it's still snowing in March where they live or whatever...

No-one has ever made a successful feature film entirely on their own. I guess he hasn't seen El Mariachi, or he means completely on his own even acting... but whatever So I guess we can measure your attention span: 13 words. :) No-one has ever made a successful feature film entirely on their own. Interesting news!

Gakken basically make educational toys/kits. None of this stuff is intended for serious use or to replace existing cameras, so Nigel's 'junk' comment above is basically meaningless.

I managed to find two 8-track cart recorders, one of them quadraphonic!! Planning to make some super-obscure 8-track noise releases in ridiculously limited editions but it's gonna be labor intensive getting everything working well enough. :)

do you want to spend money on something that works or something never gonna work?
That's not the choice though, it's actually between something that may eventually exist and something that will blatantly never exist.
