Re: Super8 to HD?? Really??

The proverbial 'LOL' @ anyone in the year 2012 talking about any kind of video file not being HD. It's really not a big deal or any kind of overkill to transfer S8 to at least 720p in this day and age. it is overkill to come on a super-8 messageboard and troll about super-8 features from 10 years ag...

Re: Current UK cheap/good UK HD super-8 transfer recommendat

Thanks, looks decent indeed, anyone here used them? The site says HD by the end of 2011, I've emailed them to see if they have that up and running yet.

Re: Current UK cheap/good UK HD super-8 transfer recommendat

My definitions of 'cheap' and 'good' pretty vague by the way, some kind of nice balance between the two I guess. :) and I'd maaaaybe consider some kind of SD transfer instead if particularly high quality and affordable.

Re: Is Blu-Ray here for the duration??

Ha I have that on my iphone, it's really fun. :) There are actually some more useful and serious music apps too, developers are having some really cool and innovative ideas with the possibilities of multitouch, movement sensitivity etc. Someone sent me the microsoft video I posted above and I had to...

Re: Paul Merton got a Super 8 projector for Christmas!

Nice! I remember a few years back reading an interview with Shayne Richie in the Radio Times in which he said he had a super-8 projector in his loo and urged readers to send him more films as he only had 'beneath the planet of the apes'! I wish i'd completed my idea of making a really strange ...

Re: Is Blu-Ray here for the duration??

If it is possible (and it is), then the only reason people aren't doing it is.....why? Because it's hard? No, that's the reason to do it. So there must be another reason. Hmmm....I wonder what that r One good circular reasoning deserves another I guess. Anyway never mind that, what on earth happene...

Re: Aquiring Old cameras and films

I still see quite a few occasionally in flea markets/car boot sales etc but rarely anything particularly interesting or in good condition, I usually don't bother picking them up as I already have better cameras I never get round to using
