I lost the ground glass knob of my Beaulieu ZMII...
I was shooting at the beach today and suddenly when I tried to move the ground glass into place for focusing I noticed I had lost it! It must have gotten loose somehow and fell off.. Of course there's no way I could have found it back on the beach.. So now instead of the knob there's only a small me...

Re: Where to go in San Fancisco and where to buy S8 stuff?
I was in SF last month! I checked out action camera (taraval and 26th) and it's pretty nice. I was looking for vision2, which they didn't have, but they did have tri-x plus-x and e64t I believe.. For vinyl records, I walked into a huuuuge record store on haight and shrader, i dont remember the name ...

Re: color charts
what about color accuracy when printing yourself? Are the colors still reliable enough to give the colorist a good starting point? Or should we go and buy more 'pro' color charts?

Re: Kodachrome S.8 is come back!
Thanks for the reply jaxshooter.. I just shot my first carts of vision2 and I'm very curious on how they'll turn out. I always heard stories about how beautiful kodachrome looked like, but I was blown away by the multiple vision2 clips on the internet.. I guess since I want to transfer my film to di...

Re: 8mm exposure
It depends on what you want to expose properly.. If the subject you want to expose properly is still overexposed with the aperture at f/22 you have two options: - Using ND filters - Close down the shutter a little bit The second option applies only to cameras with a variable shutter. For example the...

Wow, I'm surprised how many people fly.. I guess it IS that much cheaper in the US huh?
I'm an aerospace engineering student, so we get to fly every once in a while, I love it! Definitely wanna get my license as soon as I can..

Re: Kodachrome S.8 is come back!
I'm from the post-kodachrome era (hey, I'm 21 and started shooting super8 after kodak stopped making it) but I was wondering how this stock compares to the vision2 200T stock? What would you say the biggest differences are, image-wise?

Re: Tri-x test with canon 814az
Well, first of all, the only tri-x that I've shot so far was with a 814electronic, but I don't think that should make too big of a difference.. Anyways about the contrast, i think it depends on a lot of stuff. First of all, was it sunny or cloudy when you shot the footage? But then maybe it's due to...

Re: Wal-Mart Processing Kicks Axe!
I don't get why you start a topic saying you want to have the walmart topic deleted, and then you start another topic yourself about it.. Of course i know it's because your protest against the other topic, but now you kinda participate in the discussion yourself by making a statement.. anyway...

Re: Tri-x test with canon 814az
I dunno what u did right or wrong, that all depends on how you expected your footage to look like. It looks good to me... Did you use the 'normal' autozoom or the autozoom electronic?
