Light Metering & Normal/Low Light Mode on 6008/7008 Cam.
I hesitate to post this question, as I'm 99% sure that I already know the answer, but as it's been a while since I've messed with manual metering, I thought it would be worth making sure that I understand this correctly. Anyway, my 7008PRO has two shutter settings--normal and low light. At 24 FPS, f...

Shutter Speeds for 7008PRO?
Just curious if anyone might know where I can find a table of the various normal and low light shutter speeds corresponding to each FPS rate on a 7008PRO. I have the frame rate / shutter speed table for a 6008PRO, but I'm not sure if these figures are exactly the same for a 7008PRO.
Thanks!
Thanks!

For Everyone's Reference - Kodak Film Price List
This morning I called Kodak to order a few 64T cartridges, and while on the phone with the Kodak rep, I asked if any form of price list was available. They emailed me a copy of the most recent price list (including S8, 16mm, and 35mm), so I thought I would upload it for anyone interested. The price ...

Source for 100D in the USA?
After reading all of the great reviews about S8 100D color reversal, I'm interested in trying some for myself. That said, are there various dealers in the USA that are selling 100D, or is pro8mm the only source at this time? Also, out of curiosity, who is manufacturing the 100D cartridges? I know pr...

A few years ago when I was still doing some freelance AC (assistant camera) work, I worked frequently with a cinematographer who owns his own camera and lens package. One of the accessories he had was a Cine 60 quick release camera mount which attached to the tripod. From day one, I never liked that...

Well, I packed up my camera and sent it off this afternoon. I decided to go with FedEx International Priority service, which guarantees delivery by this Thursday at 6 PM. Fortunately, my employer gets a fairly hefty discount through FedEx and we're allowed to ship personal items as long as we cut a ...

Sending My Camera to Bjorn for Service-Any Tips for Customs?
Well, I've decided to send my 7008PRO to Bjorn in Sweden for repair and tune-up service. As it's been a while since I've done any international shipping, I just thought I'd see if anyone has tips or suggestions as to how I should properly declare the camera (being shipped from the USA) so as to avoi...

You can easily test the camera with a 9 Volt DC net-powersupply. Plug it in into the powersocket. Make sure to have + on the tip and that it can supply the Ampères. Great idea...don't know why I didn't think of trying that earlier. I have a variable DC power supply rated at 35A which I use for e...

Problem with Beaulieu 7008PRO - Any Suggestions?
Hi all. Just thought I’d see if anyone might be able to offer any suggestions or insight on a problem I’m having with a Beaulieu 7008PRO camera I recently purchased. In an attempt to perform a basic test of the camera’s motor, I set the speed dial to 4 FPS, depressed the power s...

I don't know why they would switch... the main appeal for NFL films was almost everything in slow motion. Any digital format is still going to have choppy, crappy slomo. My thoughts exactly. There's no way that they could achieve the same excellent, fluid slow motion shots that they capture on film...
