I'm thinking more along the line of a camera being designed in the U.S.A or Europe and then manufacture in china...this could work. Workers there make between $300.00 - $400.00 a month so it is possible.

Has anyone heard of any talk of a new super8 camera manufacturer coming on the scene?

This is ultimately your fault, not the cameras. You never go into production with out shooting many tests. This was a very unprofessional move by you and you paid the price. good luck next time...

Today's Super8 neg does looks better than 16mm neg did back in 1985..I've seen many great films shot and projected in s8...
