R10 SD8 Vignette?
Of those who have widened the gate on a Nikon R10 at what focal length, if any, did it start to vignette? With Perkins/Palidwor I'm wondering if the gate had developed any problems with subsequent use and has continued to perform well over time.

Actually I rather like the graphics of the post card. It has a stark visually catchy look with the colorful portraits on the black, probably glossy backround. It makes me want to know the people in those portraits because they stand out graphically. The text on the card is definately informative, bu...

Thanks for all your replies. I hadn't thought about all the reels I need -- excelent practical advice! I'll have to contact Schwind first, before trying to get reels. I had thought the projection reel I have would work, but I see it's too big. About fogging the film during loading, I load my 16mm fi...

Film stock for Univex model A8
Hello: I have this very old spring wound driven motor camera which takes, as near as I can figure, something like single 8mm film on a 30' spool. (It's a family heirloom in original box and detachable lens.) Does anyone know what kind of film stock this takes? I have a reel of developed film the cam...

Has anyone realized the potential of utilizing the width of the 16mm frame for numerous aspect ratios not just the classic techniscope 1:2.40? A very long time ago I read something about an experiment Reudi Muster had done which might have been done on a double 8mm wide (16mm) Bolex. He turned the ...

In theory it sounds quite simple get a reflex bolex h16 and swap in the movement from an H8 = wide 8mm (or half height 16mm). I was a little vague in describing the camera to be modified which was a Bolex H8, preferably a Rex 4. Yes, I agree that double Super8 film stocks are comparitively limited....

About a year ago I had asked Jakko Kurri (I'm sure I'm spelling his name wrong!) at Meritex if he could modify a Bolex double8 to this hypothetical Ultra8 format. After explaining it as best I could to him, and sending him drawings, he basically said he thought he could do it although he seems very ...
