Re: testing sheet for speed accuracy of camera
The correct name is "Stroboscope Disc (or Wheel)". There are design programs on line, but they usually relate to common speeds, such as those for records. Better idea is a black disc with white dots around the edge and use a cheap digital optical tachometer to read the speed........ http:/...

Re: What's brighter a 15v 150 watt EFR bulb or 30v 80 watt E

Re: Braun Super 8 Nizo Profesaional S800
The range of "trick" facilities provided on this camera is impressive: I've tried them all and found them to do "what's on the tin" both effectively and reliably. The only one to be wary of is the "lap dissolve"..... usually very, very good results but because it involv...

Re: Braun Super 8 Nizo Profesaional S800
Yes, Alkalines supply large currents also, conventional (zinc acid and zinc chloride) types are fine. Alkaline and NiCad were not generally (Domestically) available when most such cameras were made. My Nizo 801 recommends Alkaline (current limiting built-in) therefore conventionals OK. No statement ...

QUOTE: "As for the batteries: I've used various rechargeable batteries in various super8- and single8-cameras without any problems. The current "low self-discharging" batteries are working fine, too." Fine, as far as it goes! Yes, they will all WORK fine..... BUT (and it's a BIG ...

Re: DIY Dual 8 Telecine HD Digitizer under $1000?
Roger gets to the core of the matter in his usual inimitable style, and by saying some of the things some of us were reluctant to say! First off, to answer the question "Can a dual 8 digitizer be built for under $1000?" and then he adds ... The answer CAN be yes but is best answered with a...

Thanks, woods01, for saying the same as me in slightly different words. It's a "no-brainer", isn't it?

I concur with milesandjules! The straight answer to your specific basic question is ... I don't think so. However, even if you manage to find all your basic components to your perceived specifications which, when put together, should produce your required result for under your $1000, don't be surpri...
