we need a dvd that shows the dfferances between film and dv.

hello, i think the best way to educate people about super8 is to show them super8. everyone has a dvd player these days, so why not offer a dvd on this site that shows the top super8 cameras from each manufacturer(of their time, and of today's opinion) in action, shooting film, processing it, transf...

telecine to digital to dvd to tv 101

what is the highest possible resolution from a telecine transfer? which is to say, is it possible to have each frame of video turned into a high res TGA or TIF file, in sequencial order? for example, when i pop a dvd into my player/recorder, and view it using a regular television with s-video input ...

nagra or dat.

ok, so indeed the sound depth on tape does not have that jerky, synthisized sound, that is very abrupt. so, what i am hearing is, a recording done on tape(read nagra), and then digitized will sound better then a recording on dat? now then, what is the deal with stereo recording? i notice that some o...

ok, so timecode is not required. simply consistant frame rate from the cameras. i have purchased the SENNHEISER 816T MIC and a nice boom pole for it. it has the zepplen and a furry wig of sorts. should i purchase more then one of these? or other types? also, what about the actual recording unit ... ...

this drift cant be adjusted with nle?

thanks for your help. so, no matter what, it is absoluty crucial to have a constant frame rate? one can not simply use the slate mark on the image and the slate sound on the audio to set the in and out points, and simply stretch or squeeze the sound on the computer? what you are saying is, perhaps t...
