All of our energy needs to go toward keeping film manufacturing going. In light of that, I think a new camera is a little too ambitious and unrealistic.

Is it possible that the humidity trapped inside the camera causes this? The eyecup is rubber and you'll notice that this rarely occurs with it; with the exception of extreme circumstances. Maybe the fact that the eyecup is generally exposed to air and as a result has the opportunity to dry out is wh...
