Spoke with Kodak today-July 16. Was told by rep that Kodak hopes to have Ektachrome out this winter. Also received an email from Ferraina about their color reversal. So, they are still alive and working on producing a color(colour) reversal. No release date given. Check website for more info.

Dennis Toeppen placed a special order with Kodak for unpeforarated 16mm V3 and Tri-X in 2015. At that time a minimum order was about $28000. He posted several times regarding the subject. He had the unperforated film perforated and packaged by Wittner. He was selling 25ft for about $45.00

In USA try Spectra Film and Video in North Hollywood. 818 762 4545. They may have Agfa 200D. In Europe try Wittner. He is the main source for Agfa 200D. I have not checked either website lately. If you buy film, I will include the sound stripe glue with the film package. That allows declaring the package as film not glue.--John S.

I also have glue for affixing sound stripping to film.

My guess is the recent price increases have something to do with the impending release of the new Ektachrome 7297. Kodak likes to keep all the S8 prices about the same. That would mean that the new E100 will be priced around $30-$35.00. Not sure how the new camera will fit into this picture.

Kodak is pricing "film" out of existence. Only the big studios can afford to use film.

I believe Kodak has a contract with the studios to supply 35mm and motion picture quality film at a guaranteed price because the studios have agreed to underwrite film production. In other words at the time of the bankruptcy Kodak was considering discontinuing film production and the motion picture ...

I estimate S8 TRI-X is student priced at about $21.00.
