Re: Jammed cartridge or broken film counter?

Easy way to check if cartridge is jammed....... remove from camera, pull out a little film from top (like you did before), wind it in by hand. Then mark the film at the top of the cartridge aperture with a felt tip pen (let it dry!), replace in camera and shoot a half second burst. Remove cartridge ...

Re: Workprinter XP to Sniper (Kinda)

My own experience of these "4-way Macro Slides" is that they are rather sloppy and of too coarse a resolution for cameras with small sensors. Ideal for Medium Format and just about OK for 35mm, but nothing smaller. It's down to the helical gears and racks. I removed the gears and racks fro...

Scot,
A version for natural history "time lapse" movies would only need a pinhole lens..... what an exciting prospect!!!

I think we have been here before.... just the product that's different.... and it's not even a 3D camera!

Re: easiest way to open a super8 cartridge for home processi

Seriously, though, I've always used a knife. There must have been some kind of tool used by processing stations, but I've never seen even a picture of one.

Re: Eumig 610D doesn't take up film

If it is now working properly, leave it alone! I see that you have a 610D, which has a complex mechanism, difficult to work on and unlike the vast majority of Eumig machines. I do not have an example of this machine, so cannot give you detailed guidance or photographs to work by. From memory, the pr...

Re: Eumig 610D doesn't take up film

Krystof, I assume you mean that the projector will not thread the film past the gate because the "Claw" is not entering the film. First, the claw on this machine is very fine indeed... it looks like a needle mounted in a small brass bush. Sometimes the claw is missing because it has been b...

Re: Need advice for ultra short throw 16mm projection

Use the shortest focal length lens you have as a starting point. If you still need the projector closer to fill the screen (I presume you mean an 8ft x 6ft screen), try adding a "wide angle adapter" made for a video camera. A X 0.7 will increase your height and width by 50%, a X 0,5 by 100...

Re: New film format underway @ Filmvorfuehrer

What kuparikettu is saying is that if you are finally going to scan your film rather than project it, then producing the images by this method has no significant cost advantage over producing them with a conventional camera and film..... UNLESS you are going to produce so much material that the savi...

Re: Workprinter-HD Tests

That's really the point I'm making.... start your own thread on your Optical Printing project, and you will find contributors interested in Optical Printing that can help with advice and helpful suggestions. THEY won't be reading a thread on Video Transfer... because it's NOT what they are intereste...

Re: Workprinter-HD Tests

So now we are really getting off-topic.... I think Doug is actually describing a home built optical printer from U16 to 35 mm!
Worth (and should have!) a thread on it's own.
