Re: noob film anamorphic question
Just to clarify in my mind (!) if not in others ..... if you want to project the film on a 2.66:1 screen ("CinemaScope") use a 2:1 lens. If you want to show the result on a 16:9 screen (of ANY media type) use a 1.33:1 lens.

Re: noob film anamorphic question
The Panasonic lens has a squeeze ratio of 1.3:1, and is intended for camera use only (subsequent "stretching" for viewing is intended to be achieved digitally). The lens you have has a ratio of 2:1, and is intended for BOTH taking and projection. They therefore are for different purposes. W...

Re: Lego film cleaning machine.
The FilmTech film cleaning system works by having a “Media Pad†in contact with the moving film. In order to ensure that there is no build up of dirt on the Pad it takes the form of a “tape†continuously moving in the opposite direction to the film, thus always presenting a c...

Re: Lego film cleaning machine.
There is no "proper gear ratio" as this depends on the way you are making the media roll move in YOUR particular machine . Are you using Filmtech media rolls? How long is the tape in each roll? With that information I can tell you how to arrive at your "proper gear ratio" for YOU...

Wouldn't know about Facebook as never use it (or twitter) myself.
A web page that Google or other search engines would find could perhaps be useful.
And, of course, the various Forums.

Why only one of those three? If there is limited demand for them, then you should be able to better use your time to advantage by doing more things. You can always drop the unproductive activity (ies) later. DIVERSIFY!!!!!!! granfer (retired Tv/audio service engineer/ Aerial installer / Electrical r...

Before you go further.....
Kodachrome 40 can no longer be processed to a colour result ANYWHERE in the world.
It can only be processed to B&W NEGATIVE... and it costs a bomb!

Re: Machine Vision Camera
Simple answer....... Are you happy with the results you are getting? If you are, then you don't need to upgrade for the sake of it. If you are not, have you tried simple post processing to get acceptable results? "Better" specified equipment does not necessarily produce better results and ...
