Super 8 Telecine

Hello,

Do you know if there's anywhere I can pick up a cheap but good Telecine Machine, I'm trying my best to slash costs on Super 8 so that I can film more, I'm probably the worlds first 'Filmoholic'.

If I may butt in, what time in the history of 35mm would Super 8 emulate well in Monochrome, 1910s, 1920s?

Thanks for the positive replies guys, I may try mailing it to Paris, do you think with all the recent palava the UK baggage inspectors will let it through, I mean, Super 8 isn't something you cone across every day, I doubt they'll have ever seen one in their lives, never mind 15, I suppose they coul...

I just shot my first E64, I'm expecting most of it to be incredibly underexposed, as I was using my new Sankyo CME 1100, still, you learn from your mistakes.

Vision 200T vs X-Rays.

Hello all,

I'm planning on taking 15 rolls of Kodak Vision 200T on a short trip to Paris in August, and I was wondering, will the Film be able to survive the ominous X-Ray Machines the use to scan your Hand Baggage ?

Thanks,
Matthew Buick.

Boy, that sucks, my 11 year old brother (also interested in Cinematography) understood the difference between Super 8/Video 8/Hi8 right from the off, for someone his age he knows an enormous amount.

It's so annoying when you find eBay listings for ''Super 8 Camcorders'', or when you tell Non-Cinematography people that you shoot Super 8, and then they ask ''Can it plug into your Computer?'', and I say, ''No, it's a Cine Camera'', and then they say ''Well, I've got a Super 8 Camera that plugs int...

I think that's a great idea, I have a Sony DCR IP220E knocking around, the only thing is, I'm 15, but who knows, I may pluck up the courage.
