The problem is the chemicals needed to process. very tricky > not only the chemicals but it is my understanding that the Kodachrome labs required a chemist to monitor the operation. This is not a simple process. I am not certain how the K-Labs worked but if I recall correctly they were somehow monit...

I think if we are asking for a new reversal stock, we should be asking for the E200 not the E100. The 100 is too close to 64T. We need a fast color reversal film for available light filming. regular 8 is NOT dead.
Hey knock it off. Quit spreading rumors. Regular 8 is not dead. I don't know why Tony Shapps would say regular 8 is dead. He certainly is spreading bad information. At this time both Kodachrome 40 and Plus-X are available from Kodak on 400ft spools. Minimum purchase 20 400ft. spools. Ds8 kodachrome ...

dwaynes
I checked the Dwaynes website. They have S8 Kodachrome on sale for $11.50. They have not discontinued the sale S8 KMA. Kodak has a warehouse full of Kodachrome S8. Depending on demand, Kodachrome S8 will be around until the end of this year.

petition
Not true. Kodak has sufficient Kodachrome for another run. And they certainly have the cassettes. It is not the film they want to stop, it is the processing.

discontinue Kodachrome
The problem isn't that kodak discontinued Kodachrome. The problem is that Kodak will discontinue processing in one year. Pressure should be brought to bear on Kodak to continue processing beyond one year. Kodachrome was bought with the expectation that the processing was paid for and would be availa...
