I am a bit odd (!). I am right handed but look through my left eye for cameras, microscopes etc. There's nothing odd about that, it occurs in many people. Me, for example. I'm left handed but my right eye is dominant. So we went up a price bracket and out came the Elmo 110...and the rest is history...

Old cameras are funny, they may have a reputation for being poor, but they can really surprise you. :)

Colour correction may be possible, though I wouldn't bet on it.

Old, inproperly stored Kodachrome is probably only good for psychadelic scenes.

I seem to be having a bit of trouble with my Sankyo CME 1100, when I move from light to dark (camera on) the needle doesn't even twitch, works when I play with it manually though.

What moron decided that a 64 ASA stock would be a good replacement for K40, I say we get rid of that useless crap and replace it with 100D.
At least we'll be able to use ''auto-only'' cameras agan.

Hi Angus,

Dou you mind if I can ask some questions about the Beaulieu 10XX series:

1. How good are these cameras in low light?

2. How well built are these cameras?

3. Are they quiet?

Thanks. :D

Yeah, I hear ya, I have a Sankyo CME 1100 and the focus system is great.

Does anyone know whether the Beaulieu 1028 XL60 has the same thing?

I think the E100 should be touted as a Replacement to Kodachrome 40, and should have the same 'post-it-off' bags, they should also market more stocks that work in all Super 8 Cameras, making that time when most Super 8 Cameras were unusable due to the demise in Kodachrome 40 a grim but brief time in...
